The Brentwood High School girls basketball team tied a nice, shiny bow around its regular season on Tuesday and Wednesday. In the final two games, the Eagles routed Valley Park and Orchard Farm to push their record to 20-3 and their winning streak to 13 games.

The win over Valley Park put the finishing touch on BHS’s flawless, 8-0 record against South Central AA Conference teams. Better than flawless — they outscored league opponents by an average margin of 30 points a game.

The district tournament begins, for Brentwood, at 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, against John F. Kennedy at Principia. Though BHS beat JFK by 14 on Feb. 2, the two teams are seeded awfully closely now in the post-season: fourth and fifth.

Here is the district tournament bracket.
