Hundreds of people attended the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce Business and Consumer Expo on Oct. 23 at the Brentwood School District Administrative Center.
About 50 area businesses set up booths for the event, which was open to the public. Including the vendors, 600 people were expected to attend the expo, said chamber board member Kyle Kuhlman. It lasted from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
“We did more community advertising this year,” Kuhlman explained.
The annual expo gives exposure to businesses of all sizes, from Sam’s Club in Maplewood to one-person operations run out of the home. The businesses are all members of the Brentwood chamber.
To accommodate the parking needs of attendees, vendors parked at the community center and rode a shuttle bus to the expo, Kuhlman said.
Besides free food and drink samples, the vendors provided 28 door prizes. The prizes varied from gift certificates to area rugs to Post-It Notes to fitness classes to a tax return to a facial.
