Two members of Boy Scout Troop 361 in Brentwood have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and received public proclamations at recent Board of Aldermen meetings. Matt Segasture completed his requirements on Dec. 9 and James O’Halloran on Sept. 2.
Both young men have worked through the ranks of scout, tenderfoot, second class, first class, star and life and been leaders in the Order of the Arrow. Troop 361 is sponsored by St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church.

Segasture organized and led a crew of six adults and six scouts in building a prayer garden at Holy Angels Apartments II, a complex for seniors in Bridgeton, where his grandmother lives. The project consisted of two planter beds, a pedestal with an angel statue, a bench and a walkway. It required 104 man-hours. He also earned a Leave No Trace achievement award.
O’Halloran organized and led a crew of seven adults and 10 youths in building an indoor nativity stable for St. Mary Magdalen. It required over 229 man-hours.
