A trivia night and silent auction on March 6 raised over $7,000 for Project Graduation, a parent-organized party for Brentwood High School seniors.
More than 175 people competed on 22 teams at the school’s administrative offices in the Hanley Industrial Court. The eight-person teams went 10 rounds while about a dozen members of the 2016 senior class fetched them drinks and snacks.
Numerous gift packages were displayed on tables for a silent auction. Those and other items were donated by about 30 local businesses.
Project Graduation is a celebration for BHS seniors that’s held each May at The Heights on the same night as the commencement ceremony. It is drug- and alcohol-free and includes games, activities, food, entertainment, music, and prize giveaways. It is organized and chaperoned by the students’ parents through the school’s parent-teacher organization.
