The Brentwood Junior Eagles football teams have won three of their four games so far this season. The seventh-grade team is 2-0 with victories over Webster Groves and Chaminade. The eighth graders are 1-1 after beating Chaminade 20-0 and losing to Webster Groves 21-6.
Sept. 9: 7th grade beat Webster Groves 14-7
Brentwood’s scores came on Xavier Lane’s 50-yard run and Chris Robinson’s 20-yard run. Webster Groves moved the ball to the Brentwood 30-yard line in the final minutes but the Junior Eagles forced an incomplete pass on fourth down to end the threat.
Sept. 9: 8th grade lost to Webster Groves 21-6
Chris Hill scored Brentwood’s only points on a 70-yard touchdown run.
Sept. 16: 7th grade beat Chaminade 33-14
The Junior Eagles were too fast for Chaminade. Xavier Lane scored on runs of 82 and 40 yards and Sam Heisel broke free for a 50-yard touchdown run. Chris Robinson also scored a TD.
Sept. 16: 8th grade beat Chaminade 20-0
Garrett Harris scored on runs of 8 and 7 yards and Chris Hill had a 4-yard touchdown run.
