Local business people networked, lunched together and granted a college scholarship at the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce’s monthly luncheon today.
The annual “picnic in the park” attracted about 65 chamber members. The crowd included former and current mayors Pat Kelly and Chris Thornton, City Administrator Bola Akande, Police Chief Dan Fitzgerald and Fire Chief Ted Jury.

On behalf of the chamber, board of directors member Steve Pangolt presented a check for $1,500 to Air’shay Lampkin, who graduated last week from Brentwood High School. She thanked the crowd and said she’ll be the first person in her family to attend college.

The chamber’s Executive Director, Gina March, presented certificates to the organization’s newest members: the Institute of Natural Health, MCK Coaching, Prestige Ballroom, STL Programs, and Emily Brady and Hardy Washington of State Farm Insurance.
