Minicamp Gives Junior Eagles Headstart

Twenty-five youngsters attended a minicamp for the Brentwood Junior Eagles football program this week. The players, in grades five through eight, met for two hours on each of three nights to learn football fundamentals.

The Junior Eagles consist of a seventh-grade team, which comprises students in grades 5-7, and an eighth-grade team. Daily practice for the 2014 season begins at 5 p.m.on Aug. 6 at Brentwood Park.

John Sappington is head coach of the eighth-graders and Tom Magee leads the younger team. Assistants who worked at the minicamp were Ben Peters and Ethan Griesemer.
