The Brentwood Gators swim team saw its record in dual meets drop to 0-4 on Monday with a loss to Castle Pines at the Brentwood Swim Club. Last week the Gators lost to Missouri Athletic Club at a meet in Town and Country.

“We had some good swims,” head coach Sean Dooley said of the two meets, “but we were just not able to get the numbers together.”

By numbers he means that the Gators have been facing deeper teams this season after being moved up to a division with larger swim clubs in the Gateway Swimming and Diving League. They won their division in 2011, 2012 and 2013.

Brentwood has 170 swimmers this year, ages 4 to 18. All are members of the Brentwood Swim Club. They learn four competitive strokes: freestyle, backstroke, breastroke and butterfly.

Brentwood has one dual meet left, on July 7, before the conference meets on July 11-12.

Meets coming up
July 7, dual meet vs Cedarmill in Brentwood, 5:30 p.m.
July 11, conference meet for 11-and-up at Cedarmill, 5:30 p.m.
July 12, conference meet for 10-and-under at MAC, 9 a.m

You can always tell when the Gators have a home swim meet. The photo shows only about half of the cars that were parked near the Brentwood Swim Club for the meet with Castle Pines on Monday night.
