The pro-life group at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church raised $500 for its general operating fund in a cookie sale on Father’s Day weekend.

The group held the sale after all masses. Homemade cookie choices included coconut/oatmeal, chocolate chip and gluten-free chocolate chip.

According to the church’s website, the committee “works to promote the sanctity of life in all stages from conception to natural death,” through prayer, legislation and education. A few of the activities include participation in the archdiocese’s “24 hours a day of prayer” program, a phone tree to influence legislators, adoption of a Birthright mother, and students reciting the rosary outside an abortion clinic each October.
