Season’s First Winter Storm Arrives

Snow and sleet fall on cars in the parking lot of the Brentwood Square shopping center at about 9:30 p.m. on Thursday. The cars belong to employees of a business there. The first winter storm of the season arrived in Brentwood at about 8 p.m. on Thursday, with close to an inch of snow and sleet falling within several hours as the temperature dropped to the low 20s.

The storm is expected to taper off late Thursday night, but another wave of snow should arrive on Friday morning. In all, up to four inches is expected to fall from Thursday through Saturday.

Numerous City of Brentwood trucks were out spreading salt before the storm, and continued spreading salt and shoveling snow as the snow and sleet fell.
